Cutting asphalt with the FS600: mobile, all-terrain, efficient!
Once again, the user appreciated its perfect and simple operability.
Josef Seidl GmbH in Obertrum / Salzburg, one of the biggest concrete cutting and sawing companies in Austria, trusts in the floor cutters of EDT EURODIMA in Wals. Once again, the user was impressed by its perfect and simple operability.
The project: For building a sewer, asphalt had to be cut out. Thus, longitudinal cuts as well as cuts for private connections had to be made. After consulting the manufacturer, the project leader of Seidl settled for an asphalt saw blade from EDT EURODIMA, with segment type AS98 and 4.1 segment width.
Sloping roadways seemed to complicate the cuts. Nevertheless, with the FS600, the machine operator was able to cut the longitudinal cuts very precisely. A simple turn of the infinitely variable hydraulic drive allows the saw blade to be changed from a right to left cut. The necessary private connections could be cut with the same machine! This was made possible by the great agility and the cross-country mobility. Thus, even road kerbs pose no problems anymore. Not even a second, smaller floor cutter or a cut-off saw were needed for the private connections.
That was not the only reason for the enthusiasm of the user! The central water supply keeps the water consumption at a very low level. Thus, the road is not as dirty because less slurry is produced as with machines from other producers. The turbo diesel motors, having a very strong torque, provide for enough strength to obtain high output rates, at highly interesting tool costs.
The machine operator appreciated the cutting depth display of the FS600 very much. It can be set continuously variably, up to a cutting depth of 50 cm, per keystroke. This is used for limiting the depth in order not to cut through the asphalt completely, so that the diamond blade is prevented from being destroyed in the gravel subgrade. As the professional user knows, cutting into the gravel, below the blacktop, can result in relieve grinding the steel blade and, thus, in segment break-off. To avoid that, the digital cutting depth display is connected to the automatic cutting depth limit. This function is both useful and highly cost-effective.
The lowly placed filler opening of the diesel tank was a real vantage for the user. The facilitation when refuelling on-site was enormous: Only minimal effort was needed to lift the filled can.
The machine operator was taken most by the fully hydraulic steering of the FS600. The comfortable moving and adjusting increases the output and the user satisfaction. It facilitates also users that are less well-trained to make straight and exact cuts at first go. Lifting-up the machine is not necessary. The higher output and the more comfortable and easy work increase the efficiency of the floor cutter enormously.
This floor cutter FS600 of EDT EURODIMA sets new standards in convenient application of floor cutting technology: By its ease of use, by the effortless working for the user, by unique clarity and by the fully electronic steering. The profitability of this floor cutter is tremendous.
