Innovatively presented at the BAUMA!
The 2010 edition of the bauma, where the most nameable producers of the construction industry showed their programmes in Munich, is over. Despite the air traffic restrictions, the final report of the BAUMA management talks about more than 400.000 visitors from more than 200 countries, coming to have a look at the newest accomplishments. Also for EDT EURODIMA, the resume is good: The product programme and the high-tech innovations were well presented to the interested public.
Indoors: Innovations to touch!
The innovative solutions could be examined, touched, and taken down and reassembled indoors. Special focus was laid on the diamond tool innovations. At an oversize presentations cross, the inner life of the EURIX segments were visible: The arrangement of the diamonds is made to have a constantly high number of cutting edges working. This leads to a steadily high cutting performance of the saw blades. Moreover, the saw blades that were stressed with the PTG technique, were on display.
The drill bit innovations were dominated by the SPACE WELDING technology. The high-strength joints of the diamond segments at the tube was talk of the town, the discharge and the welding process of the capacitor discharge welder was shown, and their advantages were discussed. Also, the segment form with drill spikes were shown in large scale. This saves time for edging and centering!
However, the innovations were not limited to tools: The machines featured numerous improvements and novelties, too! First and foremost, the hurricane SB120 was the BAUMA star: With a nominal power of 12 kW, it drives high frequency in compact form to highest performance! Up to 43 cm cutting depth, at low weight and very compact dimensions are possible! And there are still more interesting details: The rail fasting brackets can be set slant, and ground clearance is higher, which makes cutting stairs easy. The saw can be reset on the rail with 180° so division cuts are a "piece of cake". Furthermore, the hurricane SB120 has high working hour performances and a well-engineered technology, which is low on service needs. Together with the trolley-like, compact control unit BC120, this is the future of compact wall saws!
In addition, the big high frequency wall saw was optimised, and it showed its advantages as tornado SB321: The service intervals are longer due to the increased stability of the machine and the new motor. The new flush flange version and the safety clutch of the swivel arm as well as the rail extension of the prism rails make the improvement package complete! Plus, the new construction of the control unit BC321 is evident: Much smaller, more easy to transport and with more stable case, protecting connections from damages.
All high frequency wall saws use the light-weight Safe Guard blade guards: All users that lifted it, were thrilled by its light weight, together with the increased rigidity!
Those customers and interested users, that use wire saws, were taken with the innovative pneumatic unit. Technical details such as maintenance-free pneumatic cylinder and optimised strap deflexion system give an increase of up to 20 % performance!
The drill rigs were in the spotlight - first and foremost the new DR500A which is made for drill diameters of up to 500 mm. It can be set slant up to 60° forwards and backwards! For simple use, it is equipped with a quick exchange system for motors, as well as with a motor adaptor that is compatible with motors of leading motor producers. Furthermore, the undercarriage can be taken off without moving the slant rack.
Outdoors: Top technology live!
What was to touch indoors, was to watch working outdoors. Harry Drum, the EDT EURODIMA applications engineer, showed the hurricane SB120 and the tornado SB321 – together with the EURIX saw blades, it impressed the audience! The visitors took the wall saws apart and reassembled them themselves. At the parts and the machines in use, the specifications and advantages were discussed. Amongst others, the engine braxx EB320 with the wall saw WM50 and the wire saw WB12T could be watched in action.
The outdoor booth was an attraction for visitors, where they stopped to watch and discuss, and where they came deliberately for the announced demonstrations.
