hurricane SB120: saving time and efforts
Perfect handling makes the SB120 the top compact saw.
The new hurricane SB120 is the high-quality compact class of the high frequency wall saws, with great 12 kW in small dimensions and with convenient features. Its characteristics and product details are convincing.
At a construction site Berlin, the EDT EURODIMA application engineer Harry Drum introduced it to a customer and its users. The hurricane was equipped with diamond saw blade with EURIX30, the innovative diamond segment, in diameter 700 mm, and it was steered by the new wireless remote control.
The task was to cut balustrades from the outer side via a scaffold. The cuts were 100 cm high and 98 cm wide, with cutting depth 28 cm. With the SB120, it can be done by a 700 mm blade without the need for changing the blade. First, a horizontal cut at the balustrade base was done, and then three vertical cuts were cut for separating the pieces. The cutting time was five minutes for 100x28 cm / 0.28 m², a cutting performance of 560 cm² per minute, which is outstanding for a 12 kW saw! The whole balustrade was removed within one hour – that excellent time can only reached with perfect handling and an impeccable machine performance.
The customer’s user especially appreciated the good handling, the perfect ergonomics through the well-placed handles, the favourable weight-performance ratio, and the enormous ease through the wireless remote control. The scaffold didn’t have to be removed during works which would have been necessary when using bigger saws; time saving was approx. 40 %.
