Safe! The new blade guard
After intense engaging in the needs of the concrete sawing operator, the blade guard for the braxx line was newly conceived: SafeGuard was developed. The underlying standards "lightweight and stable" were clearly fulfilled.
A combination of more lightweight materials, modified material thickness, and novel product design made it possible to reduce weight to a much lower and much easier manageable degree. The SafeGuard rigidity is obtained by the construction of steel sheet profiles, aluminium plates, and brackets with high-strength steel.
The low weight gives great ease. The blade guard for a diamond blade ø 1600 mm weighs only 16 kg, instead of formerly approx. 29 kg! The lower diameter's guards are also easy manageable: approx. 12 kg for a 1200 mm blade, and 9.5 kg for a 800 mm blade!
